Introduction and strengthening of use of connectivity solutions for TB Diagnostic instrument networks in Ethiopia project officially launched on August 29, 2022.

This project is going to be implemented at national level in collaboration with Ministry of Health/National TB program, Ethiopian Public Health Institute, Regional Health Bureau and Regional Reference Laboratories.

During the event the project objectives, goals and major findings from 120 Lab-Xpert platform implementation sites are presented and discussed.

REACH Ethiopia awarded this project from Stop TB Partnership. The key activity of the project is optimizing the TB diagnostic practice and its connectivity specifically the current GeneXpert connectivity using the real time connectivity platform with the goal of contributing for the national efforts to achieve END TB 90(90)90 milestone set for 2023.

REACH Ethiopia grew out of a TB project that started in 2010. This project introduced an innovative community package that engaged health extension workers (HEWs) to increase TB case detection and treatment adherence.
