COMMITTED TO REACH
THE UNREACHED

REACH Ethiopia grew out of a TB project that started in 2010. This project introduced an innovative community package that engaged health extension workers (HEWs) to increase TB case detection and treatment adherence. The project was first designed by Dr Mohamed A. Yassin who was based in Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) and now works at the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. The project is supported by The Stop TB Department TB REACH and implemented in close collaboration with the LSTM. The TB REACH project was scaled up to covers 7.5 million people.
In 2013 we moved from being a project to an independent organization which is registered under Ethiopian law as REACH Ethiopia (its previous name was Hidase Hulentenawi Agelglot Yebego Adragot Mahiber – HHA).
