USAID Urban TB LON II Project in collaboration with Addis Ababa Health Bureau has successfully conducted Basic Childhood TB Training. This significant event brought together a total of 60 health care workers from government health facilities and Public-Private Mix (PPM) facilities, all focused on a shared mission to strengthen childhood TB care in urban settings. The training was designed to be highly effective, focusing on a shorter and more efficient treatment regimen specifically tailored for children and adolescents.

The primary goal of this initiative was to build the capacity of healthcare professionals, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to improve the early detection, treatment, and management of childhood TB. By providing targeted training, the project aims to address the critical gaps in TB prevention and care for young people. This effort is a crucial step towards ensuring that every child receives timely and appropriate care, which is vital for their long-term health and well-being.

Together, the USAID Urban TB LON Project and the Addis Ababa Health Bureau are working to create a healthier future for every child in the community. This collaborative training is a testament to their commitment to combating childhood TB and building a more resilient healthcare system. The success of this training empowers a new generation of healthcare providers to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of countless children.
