Empowering Our Frontline Heroes to End TB

Standardized, high-quality care is the backbone of a resilient health system. It begins by ensuring our healthcare workers are equipped with the latest clinical expertise. Recently we concluded a seven-day intensive training on the clinical & programmatic management of TB, TB/HIV, and Drug-Resistant TB (DR-TB) for public and private healthcare providers from Addis Ababa and Shaggar City. By aligning clinical practice with the latest national guidelines, this training focused on improving patient outcomes and reducing community transmission through high-quality diagnostic and treatment services.

Upon completion, participants were certified by the Janmeda Health Center CPD Center (under AACAHB). This certification recognizes their readiness to transform TB service delivery into a patient-centered system. Proudly supported by the Urban TB LON II Project, to our frontline staff driving progress toward the National End TB Strategy and, ultimately, saving lives.

REACH Ethiopia grew out of a TB project that started in 2010. This project introduced an innovative community package that engaged health extension workers (HEWs) to increase TB case detection and treatment adherence.
