Strengthening TB Care: Clinical Mentorship in Action

The Urban TB LON II Project, supported by the U.S. Government, is conduted a successful Clinical Mentorship and Technical Support from the urban center of Addis Ababa, Shaggar, Harar, and Dire Dawa to the remote hotspots TB areas of Oromia, Sidama, Central, and South Ethiopia, our team is on the ground ensuring that no facility and no patient is left behind.

Bridging the Gap in Healthcare Delivery

Standard supervision often misses facilities in hard-to-reach areas due to logistical challenges. We have bridged this gap by:

  • Reaching the Overlooked: Providing equal support to both Government facilities and Public-Private Mix (PPM) sites.
  • Hands-on Training: Empowering local health workers with life-saving TB care practices and improved service delivery standards.
  • Sustainable Partnerships: Working side-by-side with local health officials to build a resilient, collaborative health system.

The Equation is Simple: Better Training = Better Care = More Lives Saved.

By boosting the technical capacity of our healthcare heroes, we are creating a more responsive health program that ensures high-quality care for all.

REACH Ethiopia grew out of a TB project that started in 2010. This project introduced an innovative community package that engaged health extension workers (HEWs) to increase TB case detection and treatment adherence.
