Effective TB control begins with accurate and timely data. As part of the iNTP 2.0 Project, REACH Ethiopia recently conducted high-level capacity-building training in Adama for regional and national data managers.
The training session was designed to bridge the critical gap between laboratory results and strategic decision-making. By enhancing the skills of data managers, REACH Ethiopia aims to streamline how TB data is captured and utilized across the country.

Core Pillars of the Training
To ensure a comprehensive approach to data management, the program focused on three core pillars:
- Standardization: Developing and implementing a uniform reporting system for TB laboratories nationwide to ensure data consistency and quality.
- Connectivity: Leveraging advanced digital tools, such as LabXpert, to facilitate real-time data collection and seamless communication between diagnostic sites and central hubs.
- Actionable Insights: Empowering data managers with the analytical skills necessary to transform raw laboratory data into strategic, life-saving public health interventions.
Moving Toward a TB-Free Ethiopia
By digitalizing and standardizing the diagnostic network, REACH Ethiopia is ensuring that every TB test result contributes to a more efficient, transparent, and responsive healthcare system.
This initiative represents a significant step forward in strengthening Ethiopia’s health infrastructure. Together, through innovation and data excellence, we are working toward a TB-free Ethiopia.
