A team of technical and administrative experts from Expertise France conducted a project implementation monitoring visit in Addis Ababa, 🇪🇹. The aim of the visit was to gain a clear understanding of the implementation status of the projects and to provide on-site training on Expertise France’s financial and administrative policies. The REACH Ethiopia team benefited from this visit as part of its project funded by Expertise France.

During the field visit, one of the high-load public health facilities in Addis Ababa was visited to observe the provision of both diagnostic and treatment services in the TB program. The visit included interactive discussions with the facility staff and the REACH Ethiopia team regarding community-based TB work. Following the visit, a formal training session was provided to the REACH Ethiopia team to clarify Expertise France’s policies.

REACH Ethiopia is implementing an Expertise France-funded project to improve access to TB care for key affected and vulnerable populations in the pastoralist areas of the Afar Region. This project focuses on increasing TB awareness, promoting community engagement, improving access to quality TB diagnosis and treatment, and reducing stigma and discrimination.
