The Sidama Region Health Bureau and the Urban TB LON II Project successfully conducted a two-day review meeting in Yirgalem to assess the progress, performance, and challenges of the regional TB program.

The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration, accountability, and local leadership in TB programming among all stakeholders. Attendees included Mr. Belayneh Bekele, the Deputy Head of the Sidama Health Bureau, along with various regional health bureau officials, partners, and stakeholders.

This activity is supported by the U.S. Government through the Urban TB LON II Project, implemented by REACH Ethiopia. The project operates in Addis Ababa, Shaggar, Harar, and Dire Dawa, as well as national TB hot spot areas across eight zones in Oromia, Sidama, Central Ethiopia, and South Ethiopia regions. Its ultimate goal is to support the national effort to achieve the End TB Strategy and save every individual affected by the disease.
