Harnessing cutting-edge technology, the AI-Mounted Digital X-ray for TB Screening is transforming early and accurate detection in Ethiopia, recently we concluded a 3-day “Basic Training on the AI-Mounted Digital X-ray for TB Screening & Detection” for 30 participants, including REACH Ethiopia Urban TB officers & healthcare workers in Addis Ababa.
The session provided hands-on training on the Ultra-Portable MinXray technology integrated with the AI screening tool, QureTrac (@Qure.ai), covering machine setup, software use, and practical operation of the Mobile VAN X-ray unit, which allows for rapid, high-quality chest X-ray imaging and immediate analysis.
This activity, part of the @U.S. government-supported Urban TB LON II Project, directly supports Ethiopia’s End TB strategy by identifying missed cases, accelerating prompt treatment, and ultimately saving lives.
REACH Ethiopia pioneered the introduction of the Digital X-ray with AI in February 2023, supported by the @Stop TB Partnership. Following its success, recently the @Ethiopian Ministry of Health has procured and distributed these advanced machines nationwide! By leveraging the powerful potential of Artificial Intelligence, we are helping the nation make significant strides toward eliminating TB.
