- Enhance the quality of diagnosis and treatment.
- Significantly improve equity and access to services across the country.
PPM-TB actively engages various partners, including private hospitals, clinics, NGOs, and workplace health facilities. These partners are empowered to deliver critical services such as:
- Case identification and referral.
- Treatment delivery.
- Managing complex cases like Drug-Resistant TB (DR-TB) and TB/HIV co-infection, all while upholding national standards.
Advancing Quality and Access
Projects like the U.S. Government-supported Urban TB LON II are actively strengthening this private sector engagement. They achieve this by providing specialized training to ensure that high-quality, standardized TB care reaches everyone, supporting the vital national goal to End TB and ultimately save lives.
Recently, a total of 62 healthcare professionals from private health facilities in Addis Ababa were trained in two rounds. This focused effort is aimed at enhancing the quality of TB diagnosis, care, and treatment within the private sector.
