REACH Ethiopia, as part of the iNTP II project, recently organized a crucial Four-day workshop in collaboration with the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI). The workshop’s primary focus was the development of standardized training materials for LabXpert Connectivity. These new materials were successfully integrated with the existing GeneXpert and Truenat training manuals.

This standardization is vital for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and is crucial for promoting local ownership and ensuring sustainability at both regional and national levels. Ultimately, it provides the TB laboratory network with the necessary accredited documents for effective and standardized training. Experts from various stakeholders including MOH, EPHI, Regional Reference Laboratories/Regional Public Health Institutes, MSH, and REACH Ethiopia attended to contribute their expertise.
The U.S. Government-funded iNTP 2.0 Connectivity Project from the Stop TB Partnership aims to strengthen Ethiopia’s national TB laboratory system by building and sustaining the LabXpert connectivity system. This effort will enhance national and regional TB laboratory networks by improving the use of LabXpert for network monitoring and enhancing local capacity to sustain the system.
