Data Quality: The Backbone of an Effective TB Program

Data is more than just numbers; it represents real patients, tangible progress, and the potential for better health outcomes in our communities. Without accurate, timely, and high-quality data, we cannot achieve our national End TB strategy.

Reliable data serves as the backbone of our efforts and as a vital bridge between identifying critical gaps and delivering life-saving care to every patient.

Empowering Experts to Transform TB Care

To further this mission, we are proud to share that we recently conducted intensive TB Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) training for 121 TB Focals and Health Information Technology (HIT) experts.

The participants were drawn from selected public and private health facilities across Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa, and Harar.

By equipping these professionals with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to improve data accuracy and strengthen monitoring systems, we are ensuring that no patient is left behind.

Why M&E Matters

This training is a critical step toward a data-driven approach in the fight against TB. By strengthening the skills of our HIT experts and TB Focals, we are:

  • Improving Data Accuracy: Ensuring that health records reflect the true status of patients, allowing for more precise interventions.
  • Strengthening Monitoring Systems: Building resilient frameworks that track progress and identify areas where care is needed most.
  • Bridging the Gap: Creating a seamless connection between data collection and the delivery of essential, life-saving medical services.
