Evidence-based decision-making is key to effective public health interventions. In TB programming, Ethiopia’s National TB and Leprosy Program (NTLP) prioritizes improving the quality of data generated through the routine Health Information System. REACH Ethiopia aligns with this national effort across all its TB projects by strengthening data systems and using high-quality data to guide evidence-based, effective, and acceptable interventions.

To address existing gaps particularly the shortage of well-trained program data managers—REACH Ethiopia conducted a three-day standardized TB M&E training in Awash Sebat Town for participants from Zone 3 health facilities and district offices. The training was successfully completed, with strong end-line evaluation results. This initiative will be followed by on-site coaching and regular monitoring to ensure sustained improvement in data quality and program performance.

This activity is as part of ‘’Reaching Vulnerable and Key Affected Populations to Improve Access to TB Care in Pastoralist Areas of Ethiopia” project, funded by L’Initiative and implemented with the technical support of Expertise France.
