In many of our country’s most TB hotspot areas, the greatest challenge isn’t just the medical condition, it is the critical gap in awareness.

During our fieldwork with the Urban TB LON II Project, our teams encountered a startling reality: many individuals were silently carrying and transmitting TB without ever having heard of the disease. This lack of knowledge allows the “silent threat” to spread unchecked through crowded communities.

Changing the Narrative Through Community Outreach
We believe that information is the first line of defense. Our mission goes beyond treatment; we are focused on proactive discovery and prevention through three core pillars:
- Community Education: We work directly with the communities to explain how TB spreads, how to recognize early signs, and how to prevent household transmission.
- Symptom-Based Screening: Our teams conduct rigorous clinical interviews to identify at-risk individuals who might otherwise fall through the cracks of the healthcare system.
- AI-Powered Diagnostics: We are leveraging cutting-edge technology, utilizing Digital X-rays integrated with AI to detect subtle cases that standard examinations frequently miss.

One Case Found, Community Protected
The math of public health is simple but powerful: Finding just one “silent” case protects an entire community.

The Urban TB LON II Project remains committed to being on the ground every day. We are not just looking for symptoms; we are looking for opportunities to save lives and build a TB-free future for the countless individuals affected by this disease.
