On the Frontlines of TB Care: Clinical Mentorship in Action

We regularly conduct clinical mentorship & hands-on supervision across both public and private health facilities in Addis Ababa, Shaggar, Harar, and Dire Dawa, as well as in national TB hotspot areas across eight zones within the Oromia, Sidama, Central, and South Ethiopia regions. Our team works directly with frontline healthcare workers to tackle challenges together & strengthen essential TB services.

Our purpose is to increase TB case detection, strengthen patient linkage from communities to facilities, enhance treatment adherence, scale up TB Preventive Treatment (TPT), and improve TB Infection Control (TBIC), ultimately saving lives affected by TB. This is made possible by the support of the U.S. Government through the Urban TB LON II Project.

REACH Ethiopia grew out of a TB project that started in 2010. This project introduced an innovative community package that engaged health extension workers (HEWs) to increase TB case detection and treatment adherence.
