📢 Highlights from the workshop:

  • âś… A comprehensive presentation on TB—underscoring both regional and national commitments to the End TB Strategy.
  • ✅ Powerful testimonies from TB survivors, sharing their personal journeys of resilience and recovery.
  • âś… Evidence of TB’s economic impact in the region, reinforcing the urgent need for increased government investment.
  • ✅ Commitments made for better allocation of funds to fight TB.

đź‘€ Participants also witnessed a live demonstration of the project’s lifesaving work through an Active Case Finding initiative at Harari Region Prison—showcasing how focused screening in high-risk settings can save lives and stop the spread.

REACH Ethiopia grew out of a TB project that started in 2010. This project introduced an innovative community package that engaged health extension workers (HEWs) to increase TB case detection and treatment adherence.
